ABOUT

Go Explore Outside Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest Hiking Trail

Hey There! Glad you are here!

The love of the great outdoors has been a part of me since as long as I can remember.

My entire life has consisted of exploring state parks, adventuring on countless road trips, swimming in backcountry lakes, standing atop of mountain peaks, decades of living in mountain towns and endless EXPLORING of our beautiful world!

Go Explore Outside was created to share these experiences, inspire you and ignite your adventurous spirit.

As a female, I find the best things about being ‘outdoorsy’, is the ability to be self-reliant and flexible to the ever-changing challenges of each adventure.

Just a few memorable moments that pushed my limits:

Backpacking

Backpacking to peak of Mt Whitney twice

Camping

Road tripped for 3 months while TENT camping

snow

Countless ski days and hundreds of feet of snow shoveled

Water

Canoeing with pod of orcas off coast of San Juan Islands

Adventure

Surviving 2-hour thunderstorm at 12,000 ft on exposed granite (our group of ladies crushed this unexpected moment)

Travel

Living on the remote Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland

“I really believe that, as human beings, we have an innate need to explore, to see what’s around the corner.”

– Jimmy Chin

“I just think there is so much value in saying ‘yes’ to things…and the actual act of trying.”

– Hilaree Nelson
